TBS has designed and improved several graduate programs to respond to a variety of business needs with the goal of producing graduates with vision, capability, knowledge and management skills while retaining the entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility.
Master of Business Administration Program (MBA)
As a leading MBA educator in Thailand, TBS continues to develop and improve MBA curriculum to produce graduates who are professional leaders, with vision with emphasis on know-how, management principles as well as modern management theories. Students know how to use management tools appropriately to fit each business situation. Teaching and learning stress on case studies and business simulation games to sharpen student’s decision-making skills. Students can complete their degrees by choosing to do thesis or independent study. They are able to integrate and apply their knowledge learned by engaging in high-level research, business plan, or business consulting work.
TBS’s MBA Program is a 2-year and part-time program. Most students are between junior and middle level executives who would like to prepare themselves for job promotions or for being successful entrepreneurs. This intensive MBA curriculum builds on strong interaction between students and highly skilled instructors who have real world experiences with strong business research background, supplemented by leading professionals from well known organizations.
Master of Business Administration Program in Strategic Management (XMBA)
Thammasat’s Executive MBA Program emphasizes on strategic management to respond to current Thai business needs for executives who are academically capable and well-versed in strategies for their organizations to sustain in a very competitive business environment. The curriculum helps students to create vision with clear perspective and an understanding of local and global business society. Students possess leadership quality as well as good social responsibility roles to commit to changing business society.
The curriculum comprises of subjects to create strong analytical skills, managerial skills, and leadership skills, while molding students with high entrepreneurial spirits. Teaching and learning focus on sharing real world business experiences among students and lecturers using case studies and strategic business simulation games.
In order to equip Executive MBA students with global business perspective, they will have the opportunity to study aboard with leading business schools taking the benefit of the TBS network. Students will also have the opportunity to visit and learn from world leading international corporations that would challenge them to think strategically as global business executives or entrepreneurs.
Master of Business Administration Program (Human Resource and Organization Management) (MBA-HRM)
In a complicated and changing business environment, an effective human resource management is of strategic importance for an organization in creating business competitive advantage. With this point in mind, TBS has designed the MBA-HRM Program since 2002 to cater for business needs on executives with professional HR management skills.
The MBA-HRM curriculum emphasizes on equipping business managers with strategic HR management skills to get ready to become top executives or business strategic partners of organizations in the future. Courses comprise of major MBA as well as HR selective subjects. Teaching and learning focus on sharing real world experiences among students and renounced lecturers using case studies as well as business simulation games. Students will have the opportunity to conduct in-depth practical HR research or an independent study, applying their knowledge to identify HR problems and to create systematic solutions.
Master of Real Estate Business Program (MRE)
The real estate business in Thailand has seen high growth for the past ten years. There is a need for capable administrators in this sector. TBS initiated MRE (Master in Real Estate Administration) in 2001 to cater to this particular need. With a core business foundation, the curriculum features in depth strategies and techniques in real estate development including project management, valuation, feasibility study, investment and development of real estate projects.
The distinctive feature of this program is in integrating several disciplines for real estate administration. Various subjects are conducted in English by leading businessmen and foreign experts so that students are knowledgeable about the global real estate environment, capable of understanding development opportunities locally and internationally.
Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MSMIS)
The program was first offered in 2006 to train capable IT executives who are in high demand at present. The curriculum emphasizes selecting and implementing appropriate IT technology for better organization performance. Learning is based on case studies so that students can have an in-depth perspective on organizational problems concerning technology. Class size is limited to not more than 40-50 students per year.
